Evening Prayer Every Wednesday in Lent @ 5:45 p.m. followed by a Pot Luck supper & Program: An Introduction to the Personal Prayer Disciplines are TEMPORARILY Suspended through May 5th

3/4/2020

Every Wednesay of Lent we will hold the service of Evening Prayer at 5:45 pm.  The event is followed by a potluck dinner and program.  All are welcome!  Join us for a Pot Luck Supper at 6 pm, bring a dish to share.

This year's Wednesday night Lenten Program will be: "Exploring the Spirituality of the Personal Prayer Disciplines."  Each week we will explore one of the many different forms of "personal" prayer that have shaped our Christian faith and tradition.  Although we worship "together" (or, "in Common," as in:  Common Prayer) on Sundays as a normative expression of our praise and adoration of God, we Episcopalians also have a rich tradition of "personal" or "private" prayer.  We will explore and practice these many diverse styles: Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Breath Prayer, and the Anglican "Rosary" or Prayer Breads, which will include the opportunity to make a personal Anglican Rosary.
