Current Coronavirus information

Greetings! Grace and Peace to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today, we are experiencing a life-defining event in our lives, one not seen since the Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918, 102 years ago. The world as we know it may seem as if it is spinning out of control—but rest assured, it is not!  God is withus, Immanuel, and God is in control…. so rest in God’s Almighty

Please remember that Anxiety generally arises out of sense of “lack of control.”  Do not waste your spiritual energy on the things you cannot control, instead focus on what you can control. To help reduce your anxiety, we will try to keep you up-to-date with what is happening here at St. Thomas, so that you can feel some sense of control.

Resources:

We realize that many in our congregation have limited internet access, including limited cellular reception; many have only DSL or weather-dependent Satellite internet which can make video and "streaming" services or video chat services [Facetime, Zoom, etc.] challenging, if not impossible.

However, we will provide a link to the Washington National Cathedral website for DAILY Morning Prayer & Evening Prayer at 7 am & 7pm Monday through Saturday AND Sunday Eucharist at 11:15 am.  Link:  www.cathedral.org

Each week we will post:

  • A “Sunday Meditations from the Rector” on our webpage, mail a hardcopy of the same, and leave hardcopies in the Church.

  • We will also post an Audio Podcast of the same Sunday Meditations for those desiring to listen instead

  • We will post a Weekly COVID-19 Letter with Information, Inspiration, and some Levity which will also be mailed out.

  • We will mail the Sunday School “Sunday Paper” to families with Children along with a hardcopy of the Lectionary readings and that Sunday’s Morning Prayer service bulletin to help families engage their children during these difficult times.
